Roq La Rue art show

September 05, 2008

Well, tis that time of year again. That time of year when I spend every spare moment painting my ass off, trying desperately to finish up everything I need to in the face of encroaching deadlines... Oh shit, nevermind! That happens all the time!

In any case I've got a show opening at Roq La Rue this coming Friday the 12th of September. As always the festivities will run from 6pm - 9pm so please, if you're in the area, stop in and say "hi". If you've not met me before I'll the the somewhat haunted looking individual casting furtive glances about, on the look out for angry art directors and gallery owners wondering where their art is at.

Roq La Rue 10th Anniversary

July 01, 2008

Roq La Rue is turning ten this year and as part of the celebration Kirsten Anderson, owner and curator, is holding a giant group show. It's promising to be quite the line up with a number of big name artists offering up pieces for inclusion. Needless to say I'm quite excited as I will also be part of the celebration and show. I'll not only have one of my own paintings hanging along side the greats but I'll also be attending the opening. The opening, on Friday, July 11th from 6pm-9pm, is free to attend and open to the public so if you're in the area and want to see a bunch of kick ass art... and me, stop on by.

Gelaskins

April 02, 2008

I've taken my first step into a larger world... No not learning to channel and control the force, I'm talking about merchandising! I've hooked up with a great company out of Toronto (Canada) who make protective skins for your Macintosh computer and iAccessories. The company Gelaskins makes removable skins, fashionably appointed, for application onto your more precious gadgets. These skins are amazing! They go on easy, stick like glue but are completely removable and don't harm your toys at all. Even better you can now get them with my art on them. How cool is that?! Answer, very cool.

So, get on the internet get over to www.gelaskins.com and help support my new friends from Toronto (Canada), they rool!

New Show, new gallery, new work!!

March 18, 2008

I've got a new piece going up at Gallery 1988 in sunny Los Angeles. The show, "Toys", will run from April 1st through the 25th and as an added bonus the fine folk at 1988 are helping Hotwheels usher in their 40th year. Unfortunately this time around I won't be at the opening but my painting will and you all can talk to it all night in my stead.
